Overview

Brought to you by Branson, Missouri's very own Haygoods, "Never The Same" is a compelling narrative that delves into the depths of one girl's journey. Traversing through the shadows of her past, she confronts the daunting specter of trauma that has long haunted her. Yet, as she grapples with her demons, she discovers the resilience within, embarking on a transformative path toward healing and self-discovery.

Challenges & Approach

When Dom Haygood brought us the "Never The Same" project, it ignited a spark within us—an opportunity to forge something remarkable. Inspired by real-life tribulations and fueled by a passion to connect with those navigating similar paths, we embarked on a creative odyssey to bring this vision to life.

Our mission was to plumb the depths of symbolism, harnessing the evocative power of "red riding hood" to symbolize the loss of innocence and the trials of the human condition. We wove a tapestry of visual wonder, infusing the ethereal realms of the Smoke Monster and animated butterflies into the verdant landscapes of Missouri's heartland.

With sisters playing the parts of older and younger version of our lead, we breathed life into the narrative, capturing the raw authenticity of the journey through trauma and triumph. Despite the constraints of a modest crew, we wielded our creativity like a beacon, illuminating the darkest corners of the human psyche.

In selecting our tools, we sought the perfect blend of versatility and fidelity, opting for the Fs5 Mk ii and the Atomos Shogun to capture every nuance in stunning detail.

The result

The result was a visual symphony that echoed the song's emotional resonance, serving as a poignant reminder of the indomitable spirit that resides within us all. It's a testament to the power of storytelling—a journey of redemption, renewal, and the enduring triumph of the human spirit.
